He is the Director of Copernicus Services at ECMWF and was previously Head of the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S). At ECMWF he was the Head of the Data Division and Deputy Director of the Research Department. Before that he received a PhD from PARIS-VI University in 1992 in the field of atmospheric data assimilation.
